Martin Hagfors – The Songwriters’ Songwriter Returns to Kråen Gard

Martin Hagfors is one of Norway’s finest songwriters and an outstanding live performer. A gifted storyteller with a rare ability to connect with his audience, Hagfors combines humorous stories, guitars, harmonica and songs in an intimate format that few, if any, do better.

His latest album, Folk-A-Dots, backed by musicians from Valkyrien Allstars, prompted Norwegian business newspaper Dagens Næringsliv to describe Hagfors as a “national treasure.” The album was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemann Award) in the Country category, adding to his eight previous nominations in categories including Male Artist of the Year, Lyricist, Composer and Children’s Album of the Year.

Over the course of his career, Hagfors has released an impressive 28 albums and contributed as a songwriter to recordings by artists including Ellen Andrea Wang, The National Bank, BigBang, Ida Jenshus, Hellbillies, Motorpsycho, Pål Angelskår, Rock Bottom, Bobby Bare, Respatexans, Askil Holm, Øystein Greni, Elisabeth Andreassen, Benedicte Brænden, Sugarfoot, Mirror Lake and Helldorado.
